Thirty years ago, there was a chance – albeit, a small one – that Tori Amos would build a career out of becoming, in her words, a "vapid bimbo." Her band Y Kant Tori Read had signed to Atlantic, recorded with Joe Chiccarelli (Bangles, Pat Benatar) and not only did she use just as much Aqua Net as Poison and Warrant, she looked just like one of their video vixens.
